It has really been a mild winter here in the US. Good news right but you may be like me and tired of having to stay in the house. I am ready to get out and go somewhere interesting. Trying to think of somewhere nice to visit, Hawaii came to mind. Hawaii is always beautiful anytime of the year. Closing my eyes I could see its clear blue water, warm sandy beaches and celebration everywhere.

I was looking online for places to go in Hawaii and Kauai popped up. Kauai is extremely charming with its soaring cliffs, picturesque waterfalls and gorgeous beaches. You will have no problem spending a week or even a month here and not see it all. There are no tall skyscraper motels, hotels or buildings in Kauai. It is a laid back atmosphere which is inviting for any traveler. I ran across Puu Poa condos, a vacation condo complex, which looks like a nice place to stay. It has been many years since I have been there and I was just thinking the other day about places I may want to visit in the upcoming months. St. Louis came to mind and I was thinking about all the things there are to do there. St. Louis has a host of things sights and experiences to be had. There is a chance to do some great sightseeing in St. Louis. The best place to get a bird’s eye view of the city is by taking a 630-foot ride to the top of the world-famous Gateway Arch. Next up is the beautiful 79 acres of lush gardens, landscape architecture, greenhouses and conservatories at the Missouri Botanical Garden one of the United States’ oldest botanical gardens.

If you love sports then you have to go to see the 10-time World champions St. Louis Cardinals at the new Busch Stadium during the spring and summer seasons. If you are looking for entertainment there is the never ending Six Flags St. Louis theme park. One of the city’s many free attractions is the Saint Louis Zoo. It has been recognized as one of the nation’s leading zoological parks. Next on the agenda has to be the cuisine in St. Louis. From the thin crust pizza smothered in Provel cheese to the gooey butter cake. St. Louis has menus to satisfy most everyone’s taste. While there you have to try the deep-fried toasted ravioli and the frozen custard.

Now, moving on to the nightlife. St. Louis has some of the hottest nightclubs and STL Bars anywhere. Most are smoke free and stay open until 3 am. You can truly dance and party to you drop. Sometimes when you are in St. Louis you just have to ask yourself what is a bar? You may have never experienced a bar like the ones in St. Louis. If you are looking for somewhere special to go which is full of entertainment, sights, sounds, shopping, food and a fantastic nightlife then consider St. Louis for your final destination.

With the way the economy has been the last couple of years, I have been trying to save as much money as possible when I go out grocery shopping. I started cutting out coupons from the Sunday paper, and also I cut them out from all those little flyers that you get in the mail every week. If you get you some type of binder to organize all the coupons, you can really save a lot of money in the stores. You just have to set your mind to it and remember to take the binder with you every time you go shopping. My daughter who is married is much more into couponing than I am. She has a new baby and is having to buy diapers all the time. Those things are so much more expensive than they were when my children were wearing them. I get coupons emailed to me all the time. I always forward them to her because she really needs them more than I do. She was telling me about a program she saw on her DIRECTV about people who do extreme couponing. These people will go out and buy a ton of stuff and end up spending next to nothing. I think they must spend all day every day figuring out where they are going to shop and what they are going to buy. But a lot of them stockpile stuff that they don’t even need. I am pretty sure that I will never get like that because I don’t like a lot of junk sitting around plus I don’t have the space to store it all.
